About Us

College Care Team

Our College Care Ministry was organized to support our college students here at New Hope, as they embark on their journey through college. We know this experience can be quite overwhelming for our students as they transition from high school to college, especially those who move away from home. With that in mind, our ministry provides our students with college care packages periodically just to encourage and help them along their journey. Our College Care Ministry is headed by Rev. Dr. Cedrita Siplin Reid.

Student Achievement Award Ceremony

Aside from just aiding our college students, we honor all of our students from PreK-4 to College Graduates at our Student Achievement Award Ceremony, which normally takes place in June, shortly after school closes. We allow all of our students from all grades to march, and for those who have received cap and gowns to wear them during the ceremony. At this ceremony we also award the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship to the winners chosen by our college care committee. If you would like for your child to be recognized for their achievements, please click one of the buttons below to fill out and submit a form no later than May 26, 2024. You may submit your form online, or download a printable form to submit in person, or by mail. Must have submissions in on time in order to complete the slideshow.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship

We offer 3 different scholarships to 3 of our high school graduates who are members of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Students must be active in the church and must fill out a scholarship application, which can be submitted online or you may download a printable copy to submit in person, or by mail. Applications must be submitted by the deadline indicated on the application. After the submission deadline, the college care committee will review all applications and will select a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winner to receive the scholarships awarded in different amounts. For more information, contact the church office and we will connect you with a member of our College Care Ministry to assist you. Scholarship Application deadline for this year will be May 26, 2024.
